He was predeceased by: his children, David Lankford and Patricia Hudson; his parents, Anna Lou and Hamilton Lankford; and his brother Bobby Lee Lankford (Shirley).
He is survived by: his wife Joan P. Lankford; his grandchildren, Brandi Lankford, Alicia Lankford, Sharon Sullivan (Winston) and Kyle Hudson (Casey); and his great grandchildren, Kaylee Adams, Chase Forcier and Roselynn Helton.
