It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bobby Wayne Cox of Alcoa, Tennessee, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Eugene Cox and Cleta Nadine Monday Cox; his brothers, Gordon, Ronnie and Mickey Cox; his son Charles Eugene Cox; and his son-in-law Ron Whitten.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Cox; his children, Sandra Underwood (Randy), Kathy Whitten, Mary Koester (John), Jennifer Harvey (Kevin) and Matthew Cox (Aimee); his grandchildren, Paul Underwood (Katie), Philip Underwood, Mary Ruth Whitten, Jenny Lynn Whitten, Ben Koester (Bailee), Katherine Koester, Elinor Harvey, Colin Harvey, Mattilda Cox, Alice Cox and Emmylou Cox; his great grandchild Waylon Underwood; and his brother Cotton Cox (Sheila).
