It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Beeler Whisman of Alcoa, Tennessee, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph M. Whisman; her sons, Larry and Rick Whisman; her parents, Kalep B. Beeler and Blanche Smith Beeler; and her siblings, Argina Faye Beeler, Priscilla Shadrick, Geneva Duncan and Kenneth Beeler.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Whisman (Joe Rader), Gary Whisman, Darrell Whisman, Sr. (Malynne), Barbara Whisman Turpin (Wayne Fortin) and Karen Comfort (Marty Bible); and her grandsons, Wesley Turpin, Michael Turpin, Tony Turpin, Chris Brown, Marcus Brown and Jeff Whisman. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
