She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Mays; and her brother Jimmy Wright. She is survived by: her son Jay Mays (Conley); her sister Joanne Summers; and her granddaughter Hayden-Grace Mays.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that charitable contributions be made to the Alamo First Baptist Church building fund, or Neighbors Offering Assistance and Hope (N.O.A.H.).
