He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tipton and Hamie Tipton; and his siblings, Garland Tipton, Wade Tipton, Geneva Milburn, Olive Smith and Helen Hubbard.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Fox Tipton; his children, Tammy (Robby Swinney), Steve (Robin Tipton) and Richard (Jennifer Tipton); his grandchildren, Cody, Emily Swinney, Cory, Jamy Swinney, Seth Tipton, Trent Tipton and Alyssa Tipton; his great grandchildren, Cara, Tristan and Renleigh Swinney; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Tipton, Evelyn Tipton, Charles, Linda Fox, Paul, Melinda Fox, Diane and Rex Martin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
