He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Cotner and Sarah Cotner; his siblings, Arti Jane Smith, James Lee Cotner and George Cotner; and his son-in-law Mike Hardy.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Chilldress Cotner; his children, Pam Hardy, Jeanie Burleson (Randy) and Johnny Lee Cotner (Jayma); his sister Ruby Cotner; his grandchildren, Seth Hardy (Amelia), Kyle Hardy (Zoe), Travis Burleson, Garrett Cotner and Marlee Cotner; and his stepgrandchildren, Jake Tidwell (Kayla), Elsie, Tanner Tidwell and Marllorie Tidwell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
