She is survived by: her son James Willard Vales (Joyce); her siblings, Thomas Young and Opal Swinford; her grandchildren, James Alan (Melissa), Kenneth (Destiny) and Lisa (Kendall); and her great grandchildren, Kingston and Lucian.
