She was predeceased by: her parents, Corbitt Cooksey (Carve) and Elsie Louronia Hughes Cooksey; her spouse J. T. Thomas; her siblings, James Norvel Cooksey (Gertrude) and Orthel Laws (Alonzo); and her granddaughter Jessica Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, A. Diane Garner (Stanley) of Huron, TN, Freddie W. Thomas (Lucy) of Adamsville, TN, Richard A. Thomas of Melber, KY and Bren W. Thomas (Lisa) of Adamsville, TN; her grandchildren, C. Isaac Thomas of Adamsville, TN, Debra Cole (Thomas) of Adamsville, TN, Trent Thomas, Latisha Thomas of Lexington, TN and David Thomas of Houston, TX; her great grandchildren, Katherine Thomas, Skiler Thomas, Madison Burks, Kevin Michael Zuhn, Cameron Durrance and Christian Durrance; and her extended family, David McEunn (Kim), Sandra Davis, Peggy Lowery, Anna Shank and James Burns (Cheyenne).
Mrs. Thomas also enjoyed volunteering for RSVP and had served as a volunteer at Park Rest Hardin County Health Center for 25 years.
