He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Daniel Kirk and Thelma Joel Pickens Kirk; and his siblings, Betty McClain (Rickey) of Selmer, TN, Jerry Neal Kirk, Phillip Earl Kirk, Richard Lynn Kirk and Joel Kirk.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Montgomery (Tommy) of Bethel Springs, TN, Rose Moore (Dean) of Summerville, SC and David Allan Kirk of Selmer, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
