It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Foote of Yankton, South Dakota, born in Okaton, South Dakota, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Eckert and Alvena Eckert (Buxcel); her husband Harold Foote; her grandson Joseph Flanagan; and her siblings-in-law, Lloyd Oldenkamp, Olin Peters, Roy Quatier and Donna Eckert.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Kolby Foote, Donavan McConnell, Nathan Flanagan, Zachary Flanagan, Haiden Magnussen, Charlie Foote, Dennis McConnell Jr., Kelsey Bryan, Brittan Flanagan, Katie Stacey, Hannah Magnussen, Chloe and Claire Foote; her children, Kathy McConnell (Dennis) of North Platte, NE, Jeffrey Foote (Deb) of North Platte, Krista Neugebauer (Rod) of Ethan, SD, Jennifer Magnussen (Scott) of Pierce, NE and Jason Foote (Jessie) of Yankton; her great grandchildren, Tucker, Jack Bryan, Sutton Foote and Saige Martinez-Magnussen; and her siblings, Helen Oldenkamp of Omaha, NE, Freda Peters of Pierre, SD, Phyllis Filler (Lloyd) of Winner, SD, Lois Quatier of Yankton, Grace Schmitgen (Gary) of Pierre and Bill Eckert of Okaton, SD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
