He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Thomsen and Janice Thomsen of Pender, Nebraska.; and his wife Kay Gatzemeyer of Pender, Nebraska.. He is survived by: his sons, Kailub Gatzemeyer of Pender, Matt Gatzemeyer (Jayde) of West Point, Nebraska, Delisa Hays (Lisa) of Yankton and Kim Voss of Prescott Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
