We bid farewell to Martha Celmer of Yankton, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Martha touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Peterson and Alice Peterson (Erickson); and her brother George Peterson. She is survived by: her husband Larry Celmer of Yankton; her children, Lon Celmer (Sheridan) of Broomfield, CO and Kristen Celmer of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Jeffrey James "J. J." Bebout (Samantha) of Westminster, CO, Corryn Gabbert (Justin) of Pierre, SD, Erik Celmer of Erie, CO and Joshua Boardman of Aspatria, England; and her great grandchildren, Roan and Oakes Bebout. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A vigil service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A Mass was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Benedict Catholic Church (1500 St Benedict Dr, Yankton, SD 57078).
