She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bambas and Mary Bambas (Vellek); her daughter-in-law Kelly Kortan; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashli and Jonathan Kortan; and her siblings, Maxine Kronaizl, Melva Sutera, Betty Shelman, Charles and Larry Bambas.
She is survived by: her grandson Gary Miller Jr.; her husband Edward Kortan; her children, Deb Miller (Gary) of Yankton, Denise Bardwell (Dean) of Springfield, SD, Doug Kortan (Patricia) of Utica, SD, Danette Little (Craig) of Yankton, Daniel Kortan of Yankton, Darrell Kortan (Tiffany) of Sioux Falls and Deanna Kortan of Minneapolis, MN; and her sister Eileen Kappenman of Selah, WA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
