He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Brewer and Dorothy Brewer (Redwing); his adoptive parents, Don Alver (Jane Alver) and Jane Alver; and his brother Larry Alver.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Brewer of Yankton; his children, Heather Nelson (David) of Casper, WY, Jason Brewer (Alyssa) of Omaha, NE and Alison Bergdorf (James) of Omaha; his grandsons, Conrad, Christopher Bergdorf and Wilder Brewer; and his siblings, Jeff Wilson of Hamilton, GA, Bill Brewer of Wilmington, NC, Joe Brewer (Susan) of Yankton, Donna Darnell (Loren) of Antioch, TN, Audrey Hauck (Jeff) of Sturgis, SD and Alan Alver (Loretta) of Emmetsburg, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (2407 Broadway Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
