She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kafka and Clara Kafka (Hron); her brothers, Felix and Edward; her sister-in-law Margie Kafka (Ed); and her niece Janyce Skorpik.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Horst (Linda) of Brookings, SD, Connie Ochocki (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD, Thomas Horst (Wanda) of Sachse, TX, Jerald Horst (Carla) of Geddes, SD, John Horst (Dawn) of Blackhawk, SD and Roxanne Olsen of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Christa, Jordan, Kyle, Katelynn, Kitty, Steven, Vicki, Holly, Andy and Alexa; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Jensen, Archer, Luella and Logan; and her sister-in-law Alyce Kafka. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 9:30 AM. A wake was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Church Need Directions? View (416 Haines St, Dante, SD 57329). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
