She was predeceased by: her husband Gordie; and her siblings, Sidney Huitema, Jon Huitema, Barry Huitema and Marlene Raabe (Maynard).

She is survived by: her children, Dan Orton (Jean) of Yankton, Susan Scott (Robert) of Vermillion, SD, David Orton (Mary Jo) of Sioux Falls, SD, Syndee Droppers (Mark) of Yankton and Doug Orton (Jill) of Blair, NE; her grandchildren, Katie Hayes, Rachel Orton, Jessica Tripp, Nicholas Tripp, Bethany Sorensen, Reid Sorensen, Layne Droppers, Zachary Orton and Jaime Orton; her great grandchildren, Madison Hayes, Elliott Hayes and Charlotte Tripp; and her sisters-in-law, Jackie Huitema, JoAnn Huitema and Erna Huitema.
