Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Elsie leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl and Gena (Larson); her husband Charles Huntley; and her siblings, Juliette Kamm, Wilmer and Clarence.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Steckelberg (James) of Yankton, Lori Rothenberger (R. Todd) of Yankton, Susan Huntley of Yankton and Chad Huntley of Sioux Falls; and also Lorna Cameron of Aransas Pass, Texas.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Yankton (403 Broadway Ave, Yankton, SD 57078).
