He was predeceased by: his parents, John O Simpson and Agnes J Simpson (Rasmussen); his siblings-in-law, Laverne "Snooks" and Coralie Heller (Younker); his sister Mildred Buffington (Simpson); his daughter-in-law Trixie Simpson (Kay); and his brother Harold Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Younker; his son John (Sandi Mathis) of Yankton, SD; his sister-in-law Cathy Handke of Camdenton, MO; his nephew Brian Handke (Sherri) of Linn Creek, MO; and his niece Julie Ann Tuttle of Guttenberg, IA. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1122 Jackson St, Sioux City, IA 51105). A prayer will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Grace Hill Cemetery.
