He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Ulmer and Lydia Ulmer (Wollman); his sister Marjorie Grosz; his siblings-in-law, Verne Grosz and Joann Ulmer; his parents-in-law, Ernest and Florence Deets; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Deets, Duane Zautke and Veryl Huisman.
He is survived by: his son Don; his wife Lois Deets of Norfolk, NE; his children, Kim Gorter (Rick), Kevin Ulmer, Kathy Hall (Jon), Karla Efird (Richard), Kenley Ulmer (Christine) and Dawn Huber (Neil); his brother Ewald Ulmer; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Zautke, Pat Huisman and Wallace Deets (Karen); and his pet Willow. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
