He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn (Schuurmans); his son Nick Mains; his granddaughters, Mikayla and Maci; his daughter Heather (Mark); his granddaughter Chloe; his sisters, Becky Coughlin (Craig), Chris Gardner (Jim) and Carol Border; and his brother-in-law Ron Weise.
