He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vavra and Theresa Vavra (Peterka); his grandparents, Joe, Vlasta Vavra, James and Sophie Peterka; his brother-in-law Mark Mulloy; his nephew Patrick Thomas Vavra; and his pets, Buddy and Omar.
He is survived by: his siblings, John E. Vavra (Jean) of Utica, SD and Pat Mulloy of Yankton, SD; and his close friend Ike. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his furry German Shepherd.
