She was predeceased by: her parents, Jake Boerema and Alice Boerema (Reimpa); her husband Eddie Ellis; her siblings, Ike, John, Gertie, Menetta and Edna; and her sons-in-law, Charles Gust and Russell Simonsen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Gust of Omaha, NE, Lori Simonsen of Yankton, Judi Day (Jeff) of Elburn, IL, Cathy Rayson of Sioux Falls, SD and Amy Graham (Robert) of Smithville, MO. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home – Yankton (2901 Douglas Ave, Yankton, SD 57078). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
