She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Charles and Clara Eva LaPorte (Rowley); her daughter Amy Clara Schultz; her brothers, Leo (Lois Laporte) and Herb (Betty Johnson); her stepdaughter Heidi Hautala; and her son-in-law Arnold Gene Hemmingson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Davis (Gayland) of Sioux Falls, SD, Connie Cleland (Gary) of Oacoma, SD, Susan Hemmingson of Spearfish, SD, Herbert J. Schultz (Peggy) of Buhl, MN, Joan McCanles (Ross) of Rogers, MN and Ginger Moeding (Matt) of Huron, SD; her grandchildren, Jamie Larson, Joy Harrison, Brian Larson, Dana Davis (Lori), Jennnifer Flores (Daniel), Desi Van Dam (Steve), Leah Shockey (Scott), Dustin Hautala (Amy), Joshua Schultz, Nate Gross, Elias Gross, Amber Bell (Justin) and Mason Moeding (Jennifer); and her nieces and nephews, Danelle Brown of Washington State, Danny Laporte of Washington State, Kathy Isaacs of Washington State and Cheryl Bye of Washington State.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Welter Funeral Home (267 3rd St SE, Huron, SD 57350). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church (688 Dakota Ave S, Huron, SD 57350).
