He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gary Rowland, Sr., Eldena (Red Eyes), Cleone Ice and Esther Yellow Bull; his brothers, Brandon Lee Blue Bird and Dakota Chief; his grandfathers, Dave Yakima Chief and Clarence Rowland; his aunt Arlene Chief; and his uncle Lester "Leslie" Thundershield-Young.
He is survived by: his parents, Burton Chief, Sr. and Jolene Rowland; his siblings, Wiyaka Chief, Joylyn, Sheena, Baby Sheena Rowland, Deandra Chief, Autumn Chief, Theodora Chief, Daniel Blue Bird, Ace, Burton, Jr., Travis, Steven and Ethan Chief; his close friend Kimberly Walking; and his pet Red Feather Tiospaye. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
