She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bert J. Poppinga and Alice M. Poppinga (Timmerman); her husband George H. Schmidt; her brother LuVerne Poppinga; her daughters, Cinda Rippentrop (Dean) and Carolyn Hofer (Doug); her grandchildren, Jeff Rippentrop (Teresa), Jodi Zimmer (Mel), Laurie Yeager (Derrick) and Jon Hofer (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Bret Rippentrop, Courtney Bien, Kyle Rippentrop, Ryan Zimmer, Alex Zimmer, Sidney Zimmer, Jacob Yeager, Lucas Yeager, Grady Hofer and Rayya Hofer; and her great great grandchildren, Parker, Nash and Oakleigh.
The family requests memorials to charity in lieu of flowers.
