Melda Farris Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melda Farris of Woonsocket, South Dakota, who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melda Farris to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Esmay and Louise Esmay (Millard); her husband Jack Farris; her brother Wayne Esmay (Margie); her son-in-law John Knapp; and her grandson Jacob Diedtrich.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Diedtrich of Custer, Douglas (Connie) of Woonsocket, Todd (Penny) of Woonsocket, Sharon Knapp of Madison, Jon (Michele) of Mitchell and Chris (Mary) of Chantilly, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Farris and Janet Miller. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Faith Church (202 W 7th St, Woonsocket, SD 57385). A prayer was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
