He was predeceased by: his parents, Alven Peterson and Myrtle Peterson (Leines); his son Michael; his great grandchildren, Charlie Jo Peterson and Kristian Kesary; and his sister-in-law Darlene Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Lorena (Luna); his sons, Troy (Tanya Jones) of Volga, SD and Shawn (Kathleen Steichen) of Woonsocket, SD; and his siblings, Darwin Peterson (Janie) of Mitchell, SD and Deanna Dean (Marion) of Artesian, SD. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
