He is survived by: his wife Myriam of Wilmot, SD; his sons, Greg Thomas (Dawn) of Sioux Falls, SD and Brad Thomas (Diana) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his siblings, Phyllis Herbstreith and Leo Thomas of Parkston, SD.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
