Laurie Van Hout Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laurie Van Hout of Wilmot, South Dakota, who passed away on October 27, 2020 at the age of 55. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laurie Van Hout to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Odean Nordquist and Beverly Joan Cameron; her brother Jeff Nordquist; her father-in-law Joe VanHout (Diane); and her brother-in-law Jimmy Rufer.

She is survived by: her husband Myron VanHout of Wilmot, SD; her children, Myron Jr. of Wilmot, SD, Jesse of Wilmot, SD and Heather Prisinger of Wilmot, SD; her niece Marissa Getzlaff; her grandchildren, Tosha and Tarah Prisinger of Wilmot, SD; her siblings, Debbie Bjerke (Roger) of Bismarck, ND, Marcie Reimche (Tom) of Wahpeton, ND, Karen Rufer of Beardsley, MN, Tom Nordquist (Patty) of Wilmot, SD, Josh Nordquist (Deb) of Wilmot, SD and Robert Feather (Tanya) of Wilmot, SD; her siblings-in-law, Becky Nordquist of Walcott, ND, Lori Adler (Jim) of Colorado, Joey VanHout (Jane) of Salem, SD and Darwin VanHout of Milbank, SD; and her foster siblings, Tucker Getzlaff, Tova Getzlaff, Cary Getzlaff and Milbank Baptist Church. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and her many beloved dogs.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to gather for visitations and services.

Laurie also loved her volunteer work with Santa Day in Wilmot, gathering donations and prizes for the kids in the community.
