He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Cummins and Ella Cummins (Thielman) of Wilmot, SD.; his parents-in-law, Harold and Vivian Jarman; and his siblings, Mary Nibbe (Warner) and Neil Cummins (JoEllen).

He is survived by: his wife Dorie; his daughters, Jennifer Starke (Gene) of Lester Prairie, Christin Fugate (John) of Hamburg, Sonya Cummins of Wanamingo and Paula Svestka (Doug) of Pine Island; his grandchildren, Justin Hansen (Naomi), Amari Tenoh, Todd Johnson (Cailey), Lexi Martin (Craig), Kyle Fugate, Mitchell Kells (Melissa), Kristy Imsande (Derek) and Cal Svestka (Kiya); his great grandchildren, Marilyn and Oliver Hansen; his brother Noel Cummins (Diane); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Smith and Angie Hippen (Richard). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
