It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Evenson of Willow Lake, South Dakota, who passed away on July 27, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Warkenthien and Bernice Warkenthien (Tibbetts); her husband Truman; her siblings, Ernie, Glen Warkenthien (Carol) and Janice Asleson; her siblings-in-law, Carol Warkenthien, Janice Warkenthien Ardella Rydbom, Mary Taschner, Albert Rydbom, Harold Evenson, Carleton Bjordahl and Larry Taschner; and her stepfathers, Robert Olson and Theophil Kost.
She is survived by: her children, Sherrie Tellinghuisen (Wayne) and Terry Evenson (Gail) of Willow Lake; her grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson (Shawn), Stacie Rasmussen (Brian), Corey Tellinghuisen (Jennifer), Zane Tellinghuisen (Lindsey), Krista Moore (Tyler), Tyson Evenson (Paige), Alyssa Evenson, Aaron Wicks and Nils Tore Halleraker; her great grandchildren, Ty, Nathan Wicks, Kelin, Brody Rasmussen, Kate, Lily, Evie, George, Bree, Mahley Tellinghuisen, Harper, Claire, Everett Moore and Turner Evenson; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kadee and Konrad Frankfurth; her brother Ronald Olson (Sue) of Yankton; her stepsister Judy Thiel; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bjordahl, Barbara Evenson and Lorraine Warne (Kenneth); and her aunt Odella Tibbetts. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
