He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelm Hamer and Marie Hamer (Kruger); and his siblings, August, Herbert Sr., Carl, Bill and Gladys.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Keller of White; his children, John (Dali) of Clarksville, TN and Mischel Anderson of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Bradly Hamer of Michigan, Jason Hamer of Clarksville, Morgan Terveen (Tayden Vandenberg) of Emery, SD, Rylee Terveen of Brookings and Justice Anderson of Sioux Falls; his great grandchild Caelyn Terveen of Emery; his brother Earl Hamer (Shirley) of Brookings; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Thurow (Brandon) and Viola Keller (Arlington). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
