He is survived by: his wife Cindy Schmidt; his children, Austin Schmidt of Sioux Falls, SD and Autumn Garr (Colin) of Brookings; his grandchildren, Xander and Willow Garr of Brookings; his brothers, Paul Schmidt (Jane) of Brookings and Wayne Schmidt (Becky) of White; his siblings-in-law, Myron Pomrenke of White, Randy Osmond of Richfield, MN and Cathy Schmidt of Volga; and his close friends, Carl Basmajian, Matthew Frogodt, Dale Meyer, Bill Denison, Barry Gordon, Kaylyn Chapman, Olivia Selleck, Hope Selleck, Abbey Selleck and Jackson Selleck. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and one great-grandniece.
