He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herbert Blackbear and Faye Blackbear (Leading Cloud) of White River, SD; his wife Amelia Blackbear (Janis); his children, Seth Blackbear Jr. (Nicole) of Wanblee, SD, Nikki Jacobs (Jay) of Porcupine, SD, Richard Lamont (Tiffany) of Kadoka, SD, Tina Black Elk (Cyrus) of Wanblee, SD and Tracy Lamont of Wanblee, SD; his sisters, Lyndall Looking Cloud, Flora Bear Heels (Alvin) and Zelda Blackbear (John Sr.); his siblings-in-law, Sandra Young (Stanley) and Stanley Wayne Janis; his grandparents, Luke and Jenny Leading Cloud; his siblings, Carol Blackbear, Brian, Niobert and Pete Blackbear; his nieces and nephews, Virgil, Robert 'Buck', Isreal, Jeremy, Avery Blackbear, Iris Tobacco and Sylvia Black Spotted Horse; his grandchild Talana Yellow Boy; his great grandchildren, Marissa Lamont, Tre and Lin Red Elk; and his friend Lower Brule. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
