With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Vos of White River, South Dakota, who passed away on May 4, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Brooking and Isadore Brooking (Hayes); her husband Jim; her grandchildren, Darin Hart and Chrystelle Janke-Andrews; her great grandchildren, Brantley and Sawyer Talley; and her son-in-law Bill Logsdon.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca, Becky Dougherty (Joe) of Cheyenne, Andy Vos (Jodi Hanson) of Sioux Falls, Phil Vos (Joyce) of Sioux Falls, Martha Janke (Byron) of Sturgis and Phoebe Krogman (Dan) of White River; her grandchildren, Lance (Karen), Chevon, Siri (Allen), Anya, Jessica, Adam, Jason (Heather), Chelsey (Ryan), Kristan, Misty, Richelle and Carson (Taylor); and her sister-in-law Helen Vos. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, and many other friends.
A memorial has been established to the White River United Methodist Church, White River American Legion Auxiliary, and Mellette County Senior Citizens Center.
