She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Gales and Malinda Gales (Mairose); her husband Marvin Hettinger; her sons, Philip, Robert and Daniel; her grandson Steve Schoenfelder; and her brother Marvin (Margaret "Blonde" Gales).
She is survived by: her children, David Hettinger (Joan) of Mitchell, Joan Schoenfelder (Ralph) of Sioux Falls, Mike Hettinger (Marlene) of Mitchell, Susan Spaans (Harlan) of Corsica, Paul Hettinger (Janice) of White Lake, Diane Hettinger of Brookings, OR, Dale Hettinger of Goodyear, AZ, Mark Hettinger (Kathy) of Mitchell and Carla Jensen (Dana) of Mitchell; and her brothers, Gene Gales (Barb) of Gillette, WY and Larry Gales (Linda) of White Lake. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.
