He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Smith and Anna Smith (Richter); his grandson Matthew; and his siblings, Glenn, Marvin, Gerald, Clair, Robert, John, Mildred, Lois, Carolyn and Catherine.
He is survived by: his wife Linda V. Kierstead; his children, Lynnette VanDerWerff (Roland) of Sioux Falls and LeRay Smith (Laura) of Bixby, OK; his great grandchildren, Nicole, Josh Grady (Abigail) of Concord, MA, Shelby of Bixby, OK, Troy Anderson of Bixby, OK, Levi Smith of Bixby, OK, Lijah Smith of Bixby, OK and Melissa VanDerWerff (Eleanor) of Fergus Falls, MN; and his brother Donald Smith (Rosie) of Gregory, SD.
