He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline; and his siblings, Elmer Kohnen, Benjamin Kohnen and Lena Heintz. He is survived by: his children, Robert Kohnen (Pam) of Hitchcock, SD, Larry Kohnen (Kathy) of Hitchcock, James Kohnen of Aberdeen, SD, Sharon Schroeder of Wessington and Debra Germain (Don) of Wessington. He is also survived by 56 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
