It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon E. Boomsma of Wessington, South Dakota, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Boomsma and Phyllis Boomsma (Verhelst); his father-in-law Gene Moller; his uncles, Robert, William and Goerge Verhelst; and his brother-in-law Dave Sanderson.
He is survived by: his daughter Evelyn Boomsma (Annie); his wife Lori; his children, Jordan Boomsma (Taylor Larson) of Wessington and Annie Boomsma (Lane Christensen) of Wessington; his siblings, Georgia Sanderson, Gerrit Boomsma, Lauretta Vilhauer (Dave), Glenn Boomsma (Jennifer) and Julie Nelson (Jeff); his aunts, Gerry Verhelst and Patsy Oswald (Danny); his uncle Eddie Verhelst; his mother-in-law Evelyn Moller; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Broer (Eldon), Lynn Moller (Peggy), Randy Moller (Rose) and Lee Moller.
