He was predeceased by: his parents, Metsel Zerfoss and Faye Zerfoss (Dague); and his brother Roger. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hawley; his children, Dawn Bailey (Kenny) of Waynesboro and Darwin Zerfoss of Huron; his grandchildren, Brandi Gilbert (Scott) of Hitchcock, Jared Zerfoss (Lacey) of Wessington, Brittney Zerfoss (Bailey Zerfoss) and Lauren Bailey (Zane Bailey); his great grandchildren, Tucker, Jaylee, Harley Gilbert, Jeven and Makenna Zerfoss; his siblings, David Zerfoss (Janelle), Neil Zerfoss (Jackie), Lynette Hopkins (Mike) and Janice Arbogast (Larry); and his friend Jeff Widmann of Daytona Beach, Florida.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
