With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Alfred (Wessington Springs, South Dakota), born in Stickney, South Dakota, who passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his son Randy; his parents, August Baumgart and Alice Baumgart; and his siblings, Leonard Baumgart, Dee Smith, Rosella Nielson, Ruthie Spitzer, Verna Stindtman, Betty Kurtenbach and Sharon Kendall.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Donald Baumgart of Alpena, Brenda Baumgart (Brent) of Sioux Falls, Carmen Hillman (Brad) of Baltic and Jeffrey Baumgart (Jaleen) of Las Vegas; and his siblings, Irene Hohn, Karen Berg, Denny, DeWayne (Wink) and Dale Baumgart. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children and grandchildren.
