He was predeceased by : his parents, Woodrow Gerry and Edna Gerry (Patheal); his brother Dale Gerry; his sister-in-law Kay Gerry; and his granddaughter Katie.

He is survived by : his wife Shelia Dumke; his sons, Loren (Leslie) of Rapid City, Lowell (Teri) of Madison and Leon (Melissa) of Wentworth; and his siblings, Shirley Backus (Gaylen) of Wentworth, Nancy Kaschmitter (Larry) of Sioux Falls and Ron Gerry (Cathy) of Sundance, WY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
