She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Raethz and Helen Raethz. She is survived by: her husband Dave Ortmeier; her children, Nicky Sparling (Kevin), Cassie Ortmeier, Garrett Ortmeier (Rachel) and Matt Ortmeier; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Haar (Levi), Codi Young (Paul), Talley Sparling, Teryn Sparling, DeShawn Ortmeier (Katherine), Jude Ortmeier and Layla Ortmeier; her great grandchildren, Hadley, Hudson Haar, Malachi and Aziah; her siblings, Ron Raethz (Fran), Roger Raethz (Janet), Cindy Raethz (Tom Myslewiec), Tom Raethz (Betty), Doug Raethz, Kristi Young and Mike Raethz (Pete Austin); and her in-laws, Don Ortmeier (Jan), Peg Venjohn (Duke), Joan Blachford (Dave), Tom Ortmeier (Terri), Carol Wieseler (Jerry), Mel Jelsma (Norman), Rodey Martinmaas (Chuck), Ann Schaefer (Mike), Jack Ortmeier (Diane), Gerri Ortmeier, Mike Ortmeier (Gina) and Shane Ortmeier (Cris). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (1013 Court St, Faulkton, SD 57438). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
