He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Monson and Emma Monson (Schaffer). He is survived by: his wife Margaret DesLauriers (Peggy); his children, Jean Rodell (Randy), Judy Lynch (Greg), Jeff Monson (Elaine), John Monson (Kim), Jim Monson (Joan), Jerry Monson (Brenda) and Jennifer Coester (Jason); and his siblings, Darlene Hanson (Joe), Janice Monson and Stanley Monson (Nyla). He is also survived by children, 24 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren.

“I met Leroy approx. 18 years ago. He helped me out when I needed work and food. Peggy and Leroy brought me food when I was injured in an auto accident back in 2007. Peggy made me meals and Leroy delivered them. I learned so much from Leroy. We had good times picking up wool from neighbors across many counties. I just heard of his passing yesterday, 12-19-20. I am very sad for Peggy and all his Family. I Love You Leroy. Peggy I will visit you as soon as I am able. Love To You All, Kevin Nelson”
