He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sr. Baumgarn and Verna Baumgarn (Schoenbeck); his siblings, Terry Baumgarn and Karen Jaquet; his father-in-law Gordon Hough; his brother-in-law Chuck Coyne; and his grandchildren, Mason, Tucker and Colt Baumgarn.

He is survived by: his wife Kristine Hough of Webster, SD; his children, Matt Baumgarn (Debbie) of Webster, Casey Baumgarn (Anne) of Webster, Mike Baumgarn of Bath, SD, Sarah Spiering (Chris) of Webster and Nathan Baumgarn (Meagan) of Webster; his grandchildren, Alivia, Alaina, Jackson, Gage, Kane, Tenley, Anisten and Hayes; his siblings, Norman Baumgarn (Peggy) of Grand Forks, ND, Janet Coyne of Columbia, MO, Earl Baumgarn (Karen) of Watertown, SD, Keith Baumgarn (Cathy) of Westfield, IN and Louise Baumgarn of Webster, SD; his siblings-in-law, Gregory Hough of Golf Port, MS, Randy Hough (Barb) of Webster, SD, Donny Hough (Rhonda) of Bucyrus, KS, Wayne Jaquet of South Shore, SD and Marilyn Baumgarn of Wilmar, MN; and his mother-in-law Janet Hough of Webster.
