She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Hinze and Florence Hinze (Wattier); and her husband Dennis Gaikowski. She is survived by: her children, Doug Gaikowski of Webster, SD, Kari Nelson (Jeff) of Sartell, MN, Aaron Gaikowski (Kristi) of Webster, SD and Tim Gaikowski (Heather) of Webster, SD; and her siblings, Ronald Hinze (Della) of Webster, SD, Russell Hinze of Plymouth, MN and Sharon Flannery (Jerry) of Elk Point, SD.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
