He is survived by: his wife Carol Dalton of Henry, SD; his children, Jenny Konechne (Richard) of Hartford, SD, Cody (Sarah) of Groton, SD and Ben (Brook) of Yankton, SD; his grandchildren, Preston, Kyle, Sawyer, Ashton Konechne, Alexis, Caleb, Teagan, Gavin Hanten, Jane and Jill Hanten; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Hanten of River Falls, WI and Carroll Hanten of Pierre, SD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
