She was predeceased by: her foster parents, Marlin Schmidt and Verna Schmidt; and her siblings, Betty, Elaine, Michael, James and Ricky.
She is survived by: her former husband Herbert Gelhaus; her husband Herb; her daughters, Charlotte Carda (Mike) of Huron, SD, Cheryl McCreary (Mike) of Webster, SD and Christine Townsend (Eric) of Milbank, SD.; her grandchildren, Emily Forbush (Troy), Brandon Carda (Megan Bordewyk), Jobi McCreary (David Weidler), Evan, Jaiden, Jeron McCreary, Zayda and Bree Townsend; her great grandchildren, Delaney, Quincey and Wesley Forbush; and her siblings, Rosie Gilmour, Dale Osterhoff and Jewell Osterhoff.
