He was predeceased by: his parents, Theophile Joseph (T. J.) and Margaret Agnes Gollnick (Sass); and his siblings, Raymond, Ambrose, Norbert, Herman, Geraldine Steiner, Treva Bowling, Olive Block and Georgia Janisch.

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Jeanette Gollnick of Aberdeen, SD, Daryl Steiner of Eden, SD and Darrell Bowling of Isanti, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
