He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Kempter of Waubay, SD; his children, James Kempter of Somers, MT, Katrina Kurkowski of Grenville, SD and Shannon Little of Wichita Falls, TX; his siblings, Kirk Kempter (Pam) of Sioux City, IA, Karen Ludens (Don) of Armour, SD and Kathleen Swayze (Orris) of Wilmot, SD; and his mother-in-law Patty Barrett of Waubay, SD. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
